Hakims Are Not so Ignorant as Doctors Believe Them to Be

چکیده
The so-called " Yunani Hikmat," or the old Greek system of medicine as practised in India, though very imperfect and irrational in many points, is not altogether so absurd as those unacquainted with it hold it to be. No one can deny for a moment the immense superiority of the present European medical science over the old rudiments : nor can any one ever think of adhering to some of the old teachings that have been proved to be false: but it would be quite unjust to underrate and misrepresent the rudimentary lessons of the old generation.
